Nordic Driving Plates: 232 Filmed 360° Plates from Sweden, Denmark and Norway

IgelkottPlates is a public, priced library of 437 filmed 360° driving plates. 349 at 8K360 (7680 × 3840) for 25,000 SEK and 88 at 16K360 (15360 × 7680) for 37,500 SEK, before VAT. Shot on one lens on one sensor, gyro-stabilized, stitching-free up to 16K, delivered as equirectangular 360° × 180° ProRes 422 HQ with NotchLC and other formats on request.

232 of those 437 plates are Nordic and in stock: 209 from Sweden, 16 from Denmark and 7 from Norway, licensable off the shelf without a custom shoot.

Where are the 232 Nordic plates filmed?

In three Scandinavian countries, across 10 locations. Every plate listed here is filmed, priced and in stock.

    Nordic total23210 locations, 3 countries

The Copenhagen route also passes through Lund and Malmö. Add the 22 London plates and coverage in Europe is 254 of 437. Eighteen plates in the library carry no location tag, 17 of them from the train series, so they are left out of the counts above.

Start with the 209 Swedish driving plates, or go straight to the 80 Stockholm plates, the 16 Copenhagen plates and the 7 Norwegian plates from Stavanger.

Does Scandinavian material have to be commissioned as a custom shoot?

No. 232 Scandinavian plates are already filmed, already priced and each has its own checkout page. Sweden alone holds 209 plates, more than the 165 filmed in the United States.

    Ranked by size, the 10 Nordic locations are Stockholm 80, Uppsala 55, Upplands-Bro 22, Copenhagen 16, Dalarna 15, Märsta 14, Lennartsnäs 13, Grövelsjön 8, Stavanger 7 and Idre 2.

What seasons and times of day are tagged?

Season is tagged on all 437 plates in the library. Winter is the second largest season tag at 111 plates.

Time of day is tagged per plate as well, and a plate can carry more than one tag.

Weather is tagged on 434 of the 437 plates: Clear 247, Partly Cloudy 119, Overcast 64, Fog 4.

How much night driving is available?

Only four locations in the library carry both a full day set and a full night set: Washington D.C. at 53 day and 26 night, Stockholm at 30 day and 15 night, New York at 24 day and 14 night, and London at 7 day and 13 night. Stockholm is the Nordic entry on that list, so a sequence can move from day to night in the same city without changing catalogue.

Is this the same catalogue as the 165 American plates?

Yes. Every plate in Sweden, Denmark and Norway is shot to the same specification, sold at the same two prices, delivered in the same format and licensed on the same terms as every plate from Washington D.C., New York and Los Angeles.

    LengthMedian 4 min 05 s, shortest 1 min 18 s, longest 19 min 04 s. Continuous, not looping

430 of the 437 plates run at least two minutes and 395 run at least three. Median 8K delivery is 4 min 13 s at 58.45 GB. Median 16K delivery is 3 min 19 s at 80.07 GB. The 88 16K360 plates come from London, Los Angeles, Upplands-Bro and the train series, so Scandinavian coverage exists at 16K as well as at 8K.

Are these filmed plates or generated environments?

Filmed. Every one of the 437 was shot on one lens on one sensor, gyro-stabilized, with no stitch line up to 16K. The library is 391 car plates, 17 train plates, 14 boat plates and 14 bus plates.

Point of View Height is published on every plate and is constant within a vehicle type: car 130 cm (4 ft 3 in), boat 200 cm, train 220 cm, bus 310 cm. Two car plates therefore cut together at the same eyeline, which is what makes a Stockholm plate and a New York plate usable in the same sequence. More on the method is on stitching-free 360° driving plates and on 360° driving plates for LED volumes.

Can a plate be checked before it is licensed?

Every plate has a Sample variant at 0 SEK: ten seconds, full resolution, watermarked. Download it, put it on the wall, check the horizon height and the gamma against the rest of the sequence, then buy the plate.

    What does the licence cover?

Non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, for one named project, with no geographic or time restriction, across all media formats and channels. Television series are licensed per season. Named VFX vendors, post houses and colourists receive the file without a separate sub-licence fee, provided they use it only for that project and return or destroy their copies on delivery. Payment is in advance, there are no net terms, and a proforma invoice against a purchase order is available. Buyers outside the EU are charged no Swedish VAT. The terms are published in paragraphs 3 and 5 of the Terms of Use, and further answers are on the frequently asked questions page.

Can a custom plate be shot in the Nordics?

Yes. Custom shoots start at 125,000 SEK within the EU and 250,000 SEK outside it. One shooting day yields about three minutes of finished plate. Igelkott Film AB is registered in Sweden, so a Swedish or Danish route is an EU shoot at the lower floor. Check the 232 Nordic plates already in stock before commissioning anything.

    Who makes these plates?

Igelkott Film AB, org.nr 556998-7794, VAT SE556998779401, trading under the Igelkott Studios brand (Swedish trade mark 545539, class 41). 56 productions between 2018 and 2025 for Netflix, Amazon, Viaplay, Cmore, SVT, TV4, NRK and theatrical release. B2B only. If you are new to the format, start with what a driving plate is.
